Summa F Series - HF Router Maintenance and Adjustment of Spindle Collet
Collet setting process:
In your current system 4041 DC-S with collet C4 your collet set process looks as follows:
Apply compressed air
Screw in collet with inserted tool or c-lock pin
Adjust the stroke by loosening collet ½ turn
Insert set screw and tighten set screw to prevent collet from turning
Insert tool
Stop compressed air supply
Attention: The collet is not protected against rotation/loosening if the set screw is not firmly tightened.
Maintenance:
Clean collet every week and insert collet according to set process.
During yearly maintenance it could be recommended to replace the collet to ensure the clamping power
